Bivas Chaudhuri’s current work is involved with space, which is full of energy. He uses repetitive visual elements and meditative process to energize the whole space. The highly structured slowly changing imagery is a close resemblance of my deep state of mind it is emblematic of modern times mixed with personal feelings and impression.
His lastest show was held in Babel, a gallery in Trondheim, Norway. The name ‘Babel’ was chosen primarily with respect to the artists – the idea is that a diversity of languages is a positive thing, a blessing for humankind – and not negative. Every language represents one way of seeing the world. This is also valid for art as a language for communication.
The show ran from March 19 – 28, 2010
