Project Space
Our project space is a 450 sq. ft. exhibition space located at 111 Front Street Galleries at 111 Front Street, Suite 222, Brooklyn, NY 11201. In addition to hosting regular events and openings the space is open weekly, Tuesday-Saturday, 12-6pm.
We opened the space in June of 2011 as a way to combat the fact that much of what happens at Triangle does so in the studios behind closed doors. Save for the two annual open studio events and the Artists’ Workshop open studio event every other year we are pretty much just working away over at 20 Jay St. We thought that a public space would be a great way to connect our current residents to our alumni community and in turn increase the frequency of our visibility and interaction with the vibrant Brooklyn arts community.
111 Front St. is definitely vibrant, boasting over 10 independent galleries as well as being the home base for the Brooklyn Arts Council and DUMBO Arts Center. You can check out all the happenings including details for the monthly First Thursday gallery openings by clicking here.
In the spirit of our mission to promote dialogue, experimentation and critical discussion among practicing contemporary visual artists at various stages of their careers, these projects are the result of a collaboration between all facets of our organization: our board of directors, our administrators and the participating artists.
Since opening we have maintained a monthly program schedule which has included presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions and performances.
